This blue bird, similarly to sissy, is different fom the rest, and therefore they try and let her know that she doesn't fit in. However in the end the blue bird ends up taking care of them, or hiding them when they have no feathers.

  1. Pixar has such amazing short films and you chose a great one :)
I can agree with how Sissy ends up taking care of everyone. When Louisa doesn't know what to do or handle her problems with Hearthouse, it's Sissy who who comes to the rescue. She comforts Louisa when she needs a shoulder to cry on saying, "O lay it here!... Lay it here, my dear," (220). She's even devoted enough to confront Hearthouse herself, being able to drive him out of town because since she wasn't raised on facts, she isn't as easily manipulated as everyone else. Hearthouse himself tells her, “I doubt if any other ambassador… could have addressed me with the same success,” (p228).

  2. To back up the willingness of Sissy to take care of people and bring a positive attitude even though she is drastically different than the others we can look at the end of the text when it summarizes her future. "[Sissy tries] to beautify their lives of machinery and reality, with those imaginative graces and delights" (287). Sissy brings beauty to the lives of those she cares about and with her special capability of imagination, she helps to the maximum extent by bringing "imaginative graces and delights."
